Pia Poi grew up in Oberammergau and currently resides between Munich and Berlin. The artist studied sociology and initially paved her way into consulting, working in the automotive and change management sector for years during her studies. She has been practicing photography since the age of fourteen. Pia Poi explores socio-philosophical themes, placing her focus on questions of the concept of truth and questioning subjectivity, as well as postmodernity and its impact on the individual. Her works showcase complex color fields and contrasts, with soft transitions and recurring symmetry defining her style. The accompanying texts are also written by the artist. She is currently exhibited nationwide in solo shows, group exhibitions, and art fairs.
